What Are The Benefits Of Using A Memory Foam Matress?

I assume you’ve either read my article about what a memory foam mattress is, or at that you know already, so now it’s time to talk about the benefits of sleeping on one, and the difference you will notice when you wake up.

As I mentioned in my first post here, I used to wake up in the mornings feeling drowsy and fatigued. Even though I’d slept the whole night, I felt like I still needed a few hours more. Needless to say, this wasn’t a great way to go into work, especially when you have to spend the day moving boxes of fruit around, and smiling at customers. I’m a pretty cheerful fellow by nature, but when you’re dog-tired, it’s hard to keep the smile up.

From asking around, I discovered that I wasn’t alone in my tiredness. Actually, it seems to be a very common problem. Trouble was, no-one seemed to have an answer to it. I even went to the doctor and had tests for sleep disorders, all of which came back false. So I was back at square one, sleeping the whole night through, but waking up exhausted.

It was around this time that I came across memory foam mattresses. I think it was an article somewhere on the web that caught my eye. As I read about them, I thought it was worth finding out more. I checked out some memory foam matress sites, and found a big variation in price and quality. That was when I realised I needed to do some proper research to find out if they really worked, and if so, how to choose which one to buy.

Luckily, I mentioned it to a friend of mine, who told me he had one. We had a long conversation about it, and he told me where he bought his at 40% off, with free delivery.

I did some research, and ended up buying one from the same site as him, and I sure am glad I did! The benefits of using a memory foam mattress were both immediate and dramatic. The very first night I used it, I slept like I haven’t done since I was a boy. I woke up the following morning feeling refreshed and ready to face anything.

The next few nights were even better. As I worked off a backlog of poor sleeping, I felt better each day, until I was on top of the world.

Not only that, but my whole body felt better. Instead of a dull ache in my back, I was supple and pain-free. Apparently normal spring matresses can give pressure on isolated points in the back, which causes pain. A memory foam matress distributes the body weight more evenly, so you don’t get the aches and pains.

I’ve since found out that memory foam mattresses have even more benefits for people who suffer from other ailments as well. They vastly reduce the chances of getting any of the following…

Not bad for a piece of foam eh?

So now you know the benefits of a memory foam mattress. In my next article, I’ll tell you more about them, so keep reading.
