As I explained in my article on what to look for when buying the best memory foam mattress, if you’re going to buy a memory mattress, then it’s worth getting the very best one you can afford. Not only will you sleep better, but it will last for many years, unlike the budget foam matresses that will probably wear out and compress in less than a year.
So, what brands should you look for? Well, after doing a lot of research, it seems that the very best foam mattresses are those made by Sleepeezee, Sealy and Millbrook. These three manufacturers have been in the sleeping business for a very long time, and they make quality products. Our first bed when we got married was a Sealy, and it’s still good and strong a couple of decades later. Even the original spring matresses are still in good condition, although we use the memory foam matresses now of course.
There are other makes around, including one well-known make whose name begins with a “T” (but whose name I don’t want to mention in case anyone from the company reads this article and gets upset with me), but you’re really paying for the name here. You aren’t necessarily getting a better foam matress by buying theirs. Go for one of the three I mentioned, and you know you’re getting high quality without paying more than you need.
I just had a look whilst writing this article, and I found that you can buy an excellent memory foam matress from Sleepeezee, Sealy and Millbrook for quite a reasonable price nowadays. It’s been a year or so since we bought ours, and the prices have come down since then.
Looks like there’s never been a better time to invest in a memory foam mattress, and give yourself the luxury of a really good night’s sleep.
